Congratulations to our Reserves who secured the County League today with a 3-2 win at Cramlington. After a frustrating end to last season being null and void, the girls set their sights on one objective this year which was to win the league.Despite being low on numbers today and a couple of players carrying knocks, we managed to take the three points in a game we looked comfortable in barring the last few minutes.Controlling the game from the off, Abbie hammered home a great shot to put us one up. Cramlington who were always looking for a long ball in behind capitalised on a bit of hesitancy and the winger was left to put the ball into an empty net. It wasn’t long until we were back ahead with a great ball into the channel by Emily to set Julia away who got in just before the keeper to slide a ball across goal for Chloe to tap in to the empty net.

2nd half Maddie made an instant impact from the bench getting pushed over in the box when one on one with the keeper. Shields hammered home the penalty to make it 3-1. With another punt into our box the ball has broke and not been cleared and a Cramlington player slide the ball beyond Iqra. A long range shot which Oqra got a finger to to tip onto the bar made it a nervy few minutes however we seen the game out to take the 3 points and the league title 🏆Today’s POMEmily

Well done to the whole squad. A cup final still to come.
